Around the globe there are many good sports- and football-historians working within the frameworks of their own countries. But because of the extent of Scots involvement in the spread of football, the World's game, their research and objectives often touch and coincide with our own. It means there is constant opportunity for interaction, indeed cross-fertilisation, not only between us as historians but by you as readers and, hopefully, users of this site. It might be that you have something to add to the story of how football arrived in a particular country. In that case we encourage you both to let us here at the SFGH here in Scotland see it to add to our store and to contact the Associate Member(s) for that country directly. Or it could be that one of your forebears, one already mentioned by us or not yet, had a direct impact of the game there as a player, official and/or administrator and you have background. In such a case we ask you to do the same. Let us and the Associate Member(s) in that country have access to whatever you wish to pass on in the knowledge that we and they, of course with your permissions, will use it appropriately.
